Stacey Choe

Stacey Choe co-founded Real Impact Advisors (RIA) in 2023 to journey with funders to give more meaningfully and impactfully in Asia.

 

She has more than 14 years of experience in the philanthropy sector and across Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia and China. Prior to setting up RIA, she was Chief Operating Officer at the Asia Philanthropy Circle, where she created and led the launch of many new collaborative philanthropic initiatives such as:

• Asia Community Foundation (a donor-advised funds and cross-border giving platform),

• Mandarin Collective (for Chinese philanthropic community).

​

The projects and issue areas that she worked on are wide-ranging but she specialises in education, eldercare, forced migration, gender, nutrition, peace-building and under-served communities. Towards the goal of increasing the scale and impact of the causes, she has raised and leveraged more than USD22 million in strategic funding.

Stacey is also a seasoned convenor for multi-sectoral engagement, having designed and organised events like the ASEAN Philanthropy Dialogue, and other closed door roundtables with government leaders; and The Asia Policy Dialogue when she was at AVPN, as its Memberships Director, then Director of Policy Engagement.

Stacey is a Council member of the Migrant Workers Criticare Fund, advisor for a women’s fund at The Majurity Trust, and former board member of AWARE.
